Sara Rafalson
Executive Vice President, Policy and External Affairs
Sara Rafalson is the Executive Vice President of Policy and External Affairs at EVgo, with responsibility for communications, public policy, and market development efforts, including state and federal initiatives to accelerate transportation electrification across the U.S. with public utilities commissions, elected officials, state and federal agencies, and other regulatory bodies. Ms. Rafalson has worked in the clean technology industry for 13 years and previously led public policy and market strategy efforts at a national solar energy finance and development firm based in Washington D.C.
Ms. Rafalson currently sits on the boards of Veloz and the Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA), a federal coalition focused on advancing electric vehicle sales, and has held previous board roles with the Electric Vehicle Charging Association and Maryland-D.C.-Virginia Solar Energy Industries Association. In addition to her work advancing clean energy technologies, Ms. Rafalson has held leadership positions with Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE), the Bay Area chapter of Women of EVs, and the Solar Energy Industries Association’s (SEIA) Women’s Empowerment Committee.
